Parents and students, progress notes are in the mail. The envelope will also include HAC information, codes for Remind texts, a digital learning guide, and yearbook information. During this unique time in education we are striving to meet the needs of all or our students. We are happy to now offer onsite tutoring opportunities for our virtual students.

Student schedules can be picked up from 10:00 - 4:00 on Friday, August 21st at the Citizens Bank Quad in the High School. Schedules can also be accessed through Home Access Center (HAC). We will have a new bell schedule that allows us to meet the appropriate guidelines to provide a safe student friendly environment. First day of school guidance will be provided soon.

We are so excited for our Football players, Cheer/Dance and Band to get back on the field and performing again. The Southside School District will be hosting our first home football game this Friday night vs. Pocahontas at 7 pm. Due to restrictions and guidelines we will unfortunately have limited seating at this time. First priority for tickets will be given to students who are performing to allow their parents to watch them perform. Each student performing will be allocated 5 tickets for Friday evening’s event. There will be 125 General Admission tickets left to sell on a first come, first serve basis for Friday’s event. These will be pre-sold and available to purchase through our High School Principal’s office (870-251-2662) and Administration office (870-251-2341) beginning Thursday morning through 2 pm on Friday afternoon. All tickets must be picked up by 2 pm on Friday. Ticket price will be $5 for each ticket. Our hope is that restrictions can be lifted in the future and we can return to the “Southside Way” and welcome all of our Southerner Fans back to our events.

We are so proud of Mrs. Angie Weaver for being selected as the Arkansas Outstanding Music Educator of the Year. At Southside we have known she is the best in the business for years. The plaque sums it up perfectly: grateful, outstanding, and unselfish. Congratulations on this much deserved recognition. We are proud of you and all the students who have put in countless hours to build a choir program that is second to none.
