Workers from the Arkansas Department of Transportation recently visited the Middle School STEAM Club to share their expertise on designing, building, and maintaining bridges.
For the past several weeks, students have been studying various bridge types and creating their own small-scale models. The hands-on projects made ARDOT’s presentation especially meaningful, giving students an exciting connection between classroom learning and real-world engineering.
The STEAM Club members were eager to ask questions, compare their designs, and learn how professional engineers solve problems every day. It was an inspiring experience that strengthened their understanding of structural design and sparked even more curiosity for future projects.
