The Arkansas Division of Elementary and Secondary Education has created parent guides that highlight the key learning goals for students in grades K–8 in literacy, math, science, and social studies. Parents and guardians can print these guides to keep handy at home—on the refrigerator, in the car, or anywhere else that’s convenient. Teachers may also share them to give families simple activities and ideas for supporting learning at home.

Our community offers several food pantries and blessing boxes to help families in need. Use the link to find available locations and resources

R.I.S.E. Arkansas
R.I.S.E. (Reading Initiative for Student Excellence) is a statewide effort to build a culture of reading by working with parents, teachers, and communities. Arkansas educators now use the Science of Reading—research on how the brain learns to read—to guide instruction and assessments, helping every child grow as a reader.
