Media Center
Southside Elementary Media Center functions as a basic requirement for quality education through provision of materials and services to implement all parts of the teaching and learning process. The media center reflects the philosophy of the school and shares its aims and objectives. It also has as its goal helping teachers and students become effective users of ideas and information.
My name is Dana Galloway, this is my 24th year at Southside and my 2nd year in the elementary library/media center. I attended Arkansas State University in Jonesboro and received my Bachelor’s Degree from Lyon College. I am currently working on my my Master’s Degree in Library/Media at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. I want to invite you to stop in and take a look around. My hope for our library is that it is a place our students look forward to visiting and where they can feel comfortable asking questions and searching for information or just reading for pleasure.
