Our Community:

From preschool through high school, the Southside School District is focused on helping all students achieve their Future Story.  The school’s Future Story concept provides opportunities for students to explore and develop a pathway to career and/or college success.  The Southside School District enrolls approximately 2,000 students in a K-12 setting.  In addition, the district houses one of the most recognized pre-schools in the state serving toddlers to four year olds. Currently, Southside has a K-3 elementary, a grade 4-6 middle school, a grade 7-9 junior high, and a grade 10-12 high school fully accredited and recognized.  The school system is supported by 160 certified and 130 classified employees.

All schools are designed to be professional learning communities.  The school district is consistently on the cutting edge of educational ideas and knowledge. With a focus on Future Stories, innovative ideas and concepts have leveraged conversion charter status for grades 7-12.  Many opportunities are provided to faculty and staff to collaborate and grow professionally.  Extra-curricular activities have always been a vital part of the educational process and the district prides itself by affording opportunity to students through a variety of athletics, fine arts, clubs, and organizations.

The Southside School District currently serves the educational needs of students south of the White River in the city of Southside, Arkansas.  The community is located in an area with great potential for economic growth.  Southside School is a staple of the community with many activities for community residents taking place on the campus.
