4.5 School Choice Summary

The Southside School District participates in the Public School Choice Act of 2015.

School choice applications are accepted between January 1 and May 1 of each school year.

Parents or guardians may fill out a current school choice form (Spanish) and deliver it to the district office in person (134 Camp Tahkodah Rd, Southside, AR),  by email to connie.coleman@southsideschools.org, or by mail to:

Southside School District
Attn: Connie Coleman
70 Scott Drive
Southside, AR 72501

The District has 15 days to determine if the transfer can occur immediately, if the student must wait until the next school year, or if the application will be rejected.

If accepted for immediate or delayed enrollment, the parent or guardian must provide the necessary documentation following the directions in the letter received from the school.  These items can be provided to the counselor at the respective school(s):

K-3rd grade - Melinda Shuffield - melinda.shuffield@southsideschools.org or 870-251-2661

If you have any questions or need additional information, please call one of our counselors listed above.
