Southside Charter High School senior Zoe Ring has been admitted to Columbia University with a full four-year QuestBridge National College Match Scholarship.
Upon receiving news of the scholarship, Ring shared, “This opportunity means more to me than I can put into words. Being named a QuestBridge Match Scholar affirms all of the hard work and sacrifices my family and I have made. This scholarship has opened a door I once only dreamed of, and I am beyond grateful for the chance to pursue my education at the college of my dreams.”
Ring has distinguished herself academically with a 4.1 GPA and a 32 ACT superscore, all while maintaining leadership roles in multiple organizations, including Beta Club, Key Club, and Spanish Club. She has also contributed more than 170 hours of community service through outreach and enrichment programs. A dedicated classical pianist and honor choir member, Ring pairs her academic excellence and service commitments with a strong devotion to the arts. She plans to pursue a pre-medical track at Columbia University, with long-term goals of becoming a physician specializing in dermatology or oncology.

Each Match Scholarship Recipient receives early admission and a full four-year scholarship to a QuestBridge college partner, ensuring that a top-tier college education is affordable for students and their families. The scholarship—provided by the partner institution—covers the full cost of attendance, including tuition, housing, meals, books and supplies, and travel expenses. The Match Scholarship does not include loans or require a parental contribution.
