Jr Beta Convention

The Arkansas Jr. Beta Convention 2026 was an outstanding experience for Southside students, showcasing academic excellence, creativity, and leadership across multiple campuses. Our Junior Beta members from both the Middle School and Junior High represented Southside with pride, competing in a wide range of academic and performance-based events and earning numerous top-five finishes at the state level.

Middle School Jr. Beta Highlights (Grades 5–6)

Day One was an incredible success for our Middle School Junior Beta students, as 40 talented 5th and 6th graders competed across academic, artistic, and team events.

Individual Awards

5th Grade

On Day Two, the success continued as the 6th grade Quiz Bowl team advanced to the Oral Rounds, earning a spot among the Top 8 teams in the state. Students also participated in on-site drawing and painting events and the Speech Contest.

Middle School Team & Club Awards

  • 5th Grade Marketing & Communications Team (Zane, Sloane, Selah, Lawson, Nora) – 1st Place

  • Performing Arts (Kay Warren) – 1st Place

  • 6th Grade Marketing Team (Wynston, Zeke, Addy, Sloane, Ryker) – 3rd Place

  • 6th Grade Robotics Team (Autry, Emory, Logan, Bryson, Jude, Silas) – 2nd Place

  • Club Pin (Gage Furrow) – 4th Place

  • 5th Grade Musicology Team (Gavin, Kay, Lawson, Nora) – 4th Place

  • 6th Grade Quiz Bowl Team (Coven, Autry, Jude, Logan) – Top 8 in the State

Junior High Jr. Beta Highlights

Junior High Junior Beta members also competed at the Arkansas Junior Beta Convention in Hot Springs, participating in 35 individual and group events. These students demonstrated strong leadership and commitment to excellence while representing Southside with distinction.

We are incredibly proud of our Jr. Beta members at both the Middle School and Junior High levels. Their achievements reflect not only academic talent, but also leadership, teamwork, and the high standards of the Southside Junior Beta program.
