Summer Meals begin Wednesday, May 20!
Breakfast and lunch are available for all children 18 years and younger.
Meals will be served in the Southside High School and Southside Elementary cafeterias:
Monday–Friday
Breakfast: 7:30–8:30 a.m.
Lunch: 11:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.
Families also have the option to pick up 5 days of complete breakfast and lunch meals each Tuesday from 9:00–11:00 a.m. at Southside Elementary for children who are unable to eat on site.

Eggs were hidden. Baskets were ready. And our Preschool and Kindergarten friends were ON THE CASE! 🐣🔍 Watching the excitement, the squeals of delight, and the pure joy of a basket full of colorful eggs made for one of our favorite days of the year. We are so grateful for these amazing little learners and the families who share them with us. Wishing everyone a wonderful and Happy Easter!

about planting and growing vegetables!






Today, Ms Tracey & Ms Jessica’s young scientists explored plant life after reading One Bean! We planted bean seeds in clear bags so we can observe the growing process day by day. The class discussed what plants need to grow and shared their predictions about what might happen first. Science + curious in action! 🌱🔍










The infants had fun painting shamrocks today while exploring sensory play 🍀🎨

Mrs. Kristi and Mrs. Jamie’s class is learning about planting and growing. Students are planting seeds and will monitor seed to plant lifecycle. Learning new science vocabulary words and labeling parts of a flower.





Sorting shapes is a fun way our preschoolers practice recognizing and learning their shapes! 🔷🔺🔶 As they sort circles, squares, triangles, and more, they are building early math skills, strengthening problem-solving, and learning how to compare and classify objects. Hands-on learning like this helps little minds grow while they explore, think, and discover! ✨

Friday marks the end of a historic era in the legacy of Southside Schools.
Friday’s games signify the closing chapter of a 43-year run of memorable seasons, unforgettable games, and outstanding athletes in what is fondly known in Southside lore as the “New” Gym.
For more than four decades, this gym has been home to countless memories shared by players, spirit squads, families, and our entire community. These moments and traditions have helped shape the pride and spirit of Southside and will be cherished for generations.
To commemorate the final games, we will honor this historic moment with special presentations following the final game of the night.
