Athletic Update
Families of Southside Students may request school meal pick up during the Christmas Break. A drive-up event will be held on Tuesday, December 21 and Tuesday, December 28. Each box will contain five school lunches and five school breakfasts. Meals can be picked up between 9:30-11:30. Sign up via Google Form or call Rhonda Fowler at 870-251-2341.

With excitement and pride, we would like to inform you that Southside School District had eight young men and women selected from hundreds of students across the southern United States to be included in the honor choirs for the SouthWest American Choral Directors' Association Convention. The event will take place February 28-March 3, 2022 in Little Rock, AR. The students submitted online recorded auditions in October to be considered, which were then judged by a panel of choir directors from the seven state area. They competed against approximately 1,000 students for a chance to be included in the honor choirs. Out of these submissions, about 100 per age group were selected to participate.
Southside hosts basketball games tonight! Junior high girls start at 5:00 followed by Senior high girls versus Maumelle. Senior high boys versus Heber Springs tip off is at 7:30.
The junior high Southerners host the basketball tournament tonight. Junior high boys play Rosebud at 5:30, followed by Junior high girls playing Tuckerman at 7:30. Go Southside!

Several students tried out for and made All Region Choir this year. Junior High students travel to Arkansas State in Jonesboro to compete and perform on Friday, while Senior High will compete and perform at Harding on Saturday. Congratulations to these talented students!
