Athletic Update Week of September 30 - October 4
2024 Homecoming is only one week away! We hope to see the whole Southerner Community on Friday night, October 4.

Save the date for Senior Class Mock Interviews on Wednesday, December 11th! This event offers our students a valuable opportunity to gain real-world experience. The insights and guidance they will receive from our community are priceless as they prepare to step into life after graduation.

Your Future Story, is Our Future Story
This week kicked off BookNook and MathNook High Impact Tutoring programs in the middle school and junior high. These learning opportunities are in thanks to a generous $148,000 grant!
This incredible funding will allow us to provide personalized, high-quality tutoring for our students, helping them grow in both literacy and math.

The High School Game of the Week will feature the Southside Southerners and the Pocahontas Redskins senior boys football game. The game will be streamed on Facebook LIVE and YouTube beginning approximately 6:35 pm on Friday, September 27, 2024.

Soncom Media Productions and NEA Sports showcase the student athletes of northeast Arkansas by highlighting them during the 2024 football season with a live broadcast of The High School Game of the Week.
Exciting news! The brand new high school and junior high cafeteria is opening on October 7th, 2024! Students will start enjoying their meals in this amazing space starting that Monday. Get ready for a fresh dining experience!

We also want to encourage EVERYONE to wear gold tomorrow! Money from this fundraiser will be used to support a Southside family currently battling childhood cancer, and other children at Arkansas Children's Hospital. Help us Go Gold and show our support for these families fighting unthinkable battles!
Join us on Friday, August 30th as we discuss how Special Education and Related Services can be provided to home school students who qualify.
Great news parents! Southside School District will be providing the following school supplies for the upcoming school year: binders, folders, scissors, glue sticks, colored pencils, glue and markers! If a student needs any support getting a backpack or other school supplies, please reach out to a school counselor at 870-251-2341.
