Welcome, Coach Bailey Buffington!
“My name is Bailey Buffington, and I am from Bauxite, Arkansas. I played softball three years at Crowder College and two years at Arkansas Tech University. I graduate in December with my bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education Teacher Licensure. I am super excited to be a Southside Southerner, and couldn’t ask for a better place to start my teaching/coaching career. Go Southerners!”

Welcome, Coach Lexi McClellan!
“I’m Lexi McClellan from Ozark, Arkansas. I played softball two years at Crowder College and three years (due to Covid) at the University of Central Arkansas. I graduated in May with my masters degree in exercise science. I chose southside to start off my teaching and coaching career because it felt like home immediately and the staff works well together to improve the lives of the students beyond just school and athletics. I look forward to stepping into the role of helping students and athletes expand their capabilities and accomplish their goals."

Happy Teacher Appreciation week to every hardworking teacher Southside is so lucky to have!

Congratulations to our very own Ms. Novella for being named the AAFC Howard Wallace Federal Coordinator of the Year!
Superintendent Stevens said, "Novella has been instrumental in our growth over the past several years by being a positive force for what is right. She is revered by our teachers, administrators, and school board as a key piece of the district. The most important part of her characteristics is her deep love for the success of students and her willingness to go above and beyond to serve others."
Congratulations Ms. Novella! We are all proud of you and proud to share this Southside Community with you.

Thank you so much to our Lunch Room Heros! We would be unhappy, hungry, hangry, grumpy and all around worse off without them. Please take a minute to thank these wonderful ladies for their hard work and dedication to our students and staff.
