Battle of the Bridge schedule of events.

Please join us tomorrow night as we celebrate our communities and students with the presentation of The Battle of the Bridge Scholarships. Thanks to White River Health and First Community Bank eight students – four from Southside and four from Batesville – will be presented before the game with a $500 scholarship. One band member, one cheerleader, one dance team member and one football player will be selected from each school. Scholarship presentations will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Stewart Field.

When you see the flashing red lights on a stopped school bus, that means children are crossing the street, and state law requires drivers to stop. Please be extra cautious when driving and you see a school bus. Our student's safety is of the utmost importance!

Did you know... School buses are different by design? School buses are designed so that they’re highly visible and include safety features such as flashing red lights, cross-view mirrors and stop-sign arms. They also include protective seating, high crush standards and rollover protection features. If you see a school bus, you should slow down and prepare to stop your vehicle. ALWAYS be aware and watching for children.

This week is School Bus Safety Week! Did you know, you must stop your car and wait until the red lights stop flashing, the extended stop-arm is withdrawn, AND the bus begins moving, before you can start driving again? Please be extra cautious when driving and you see a school bus. Our student's safety is of the utmost importance!

Happy LENA Day from the Preschool! LENA is an oral language project with our goal being to increase oral language in early childhood by having meaningful and intentional conversations with our students.

We were proud to host the Excel by 8 steering committee today on our campuses. Excel by Eight (E8) is focused on building a reliable resource grid, where all Arkansas families and communities have what they need to help children thrive.
