Several Southside Archers competed in three tournaments over the weekend, and despite not fielding full teams at each event, they delivered outstanding performances and brought home an impressive collection of medals and team finishes.
At the Brookland New Year’s Shootout, Southside earned three individual championships with Gage Furrow (1st, Elementary Boys), Zachary Helm (1st, Middle School Boys), and Cadence Johnson (1st, High School Girls). Annelise Young also placed in the Top 10 for High School Girls.
During the SCA 3D Arctic Chill, the Elementary Team finished 2nd overall, highlighted by multiple Top 10 individual finishes, while the Middle School Team placed 3rd. Zachary Helm captured another 1st-place finish in Middle School Boys. Southside also earned podium finishes at the high school level with David Burney (3rd, Boys) and Snowda Morrow (3rd, Girls).
At the SCA Bullseye Arctic Chill, Southside continued its strong showing. Gage Furrow, Zachary Helm, Hunter Price, and Snowda Morrow all earned Sharp Shooter honors, with additional Top 10 and podium finishes. The Middle School Team rounded out the weekend with a 4th-place team finish.
